A noveller by trade but an explorist at heart, soapyd set off into the wilds of Africa many a year ago only to emerge 2 weeks, 3 days and 16 hours ago. Changed by what he had saw (and done) he is now prone to reciting recipes from the 1968 edition of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook and looking wistfully at pieces of fruit while saying "We will see better days, my friend" under his breath. Through the sheer magic of this newfangled device known as "Internets", we now share with you the story of this man. Yet, we must warn you, dear reader, that if you continue on reading you will be thrust into a world where few emerge unscathed and many are unbathed. Only the brave will venture beyond here, but for their gall they will be rewarded with free Lucky Charms and a delightful polka played by a local band.
