lonely are the nights, lonely are the days, lonely am I in so many ways, lonely are the seasons, lonely are the years, so lonely am I that it brings me many tears,lonely is this place lonely is my life, so lonely am I that I want to reach for a knife, lonely is one word chosen to respresent so much, to tell of feelings that my senses cannot touch, lonely is the teardrops that run down upon my face, lonely is the silence in which I embrace, lonely haunts my laughter that I once made proud, lonely surrounds me when I'm alone or in a crowd, lonely is the footprints of a departing friend, lonely penetrates the nights that will never end, lonely will not listen to the pleadings of my broken heart, lonely stays and torments me until a new love shatters it apart
