This list was inspired by my looking at someone go da-da-daaa on their page, and when they meant the price is right theme, I heard in my mind "Fanfare to the Common Man", which just shows you how far music has come, really. This list is sort of a journey through the 20th century, and an observation of how orchrestra music in general has changed. As we move into the 20th century, the entertainment industry has already weighed heavily upon our composers. Most of them were writting openings for theater produtions and dance troupes. However, as we progress past the 40's Hollywood is getting more and more demanding of it's films, until we find ourselves at the edge of the 21st century, where most music is being composed for films of various sorts. While theater is still going strong in the modern times, the more classical forms of music are touched with the frenzied intensity of the current times.
