Blackbud comprises Joseph Taylor (b. Wiltshire, England; guitar/vocals), Samuel Nadel (b. Wiltshire, England; drums) and Adam Newton (b. Wiltshire, England; bass). Formed in 2002 in Bradford On Avon, Wiltshire, England, this talented indie rock outfit enjoyed a lightning-quick rise in profile and the support of some of music's most influential figureheads. Citing a shared love of acts such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Led Zeppelin, Blackbud's musical career was given a valuable boost after being announced as joint winners of the Glastonbury Festival's unsigned band competition in 2004, an accolade which rewards acts with an appearance at the festival itself.
