Formed in 2004 by Adam Hiles (guitar), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), Paul Mullen (vocals/guitar), Ross Harley (bass) and Paul Gamble-Beresford (drums), this UK noise rock band originates from Washington in north-east England. The band members first started playing together in school and quickly developed a local reputation for their fiery and intense live sets. After winning a major label contract with the Polydor Records subsidiary label Fiction, the quintet teamed up with respected US producer Steve Albini to complete the mini-album All Roads To Fault. The presence of Albini, no stranger to the outer regions of alternative rock, helped shape a brief and thrilling collection of post-hardcore rock. The full-length follow-up Ignoto was even better, an intelligent and inventive take on a genre populated by non-risk taking bands. The album was recorded with UK producer Flood and boasted a sleeve design by famed graphic designer Storm Thorgerson.
