  Camiel is one of today's most eclectic musical artists, an accomplished jazz guitarist, composer, arranger and performer. At the age of ten he began playing classical guitar. Electric jazz guitar first captured Camiel's imagination which he blended with electronic music on a legendary Commodore 64 and two tape decks. At the Amsterdam Conservatory he studied composing, recording, and mastered arranging for full orchestra. On the cutting edge of Dutch/Pop music, Camiel has composed and produced for computer games, commercials, multimedia products and fashion shows. His debut album "Sunset" is a tour-de-force. "Sunset" could be best described as "Solaja" which stands for a modern mix of SOul, LAtin and JAzz with electronica. This concept album takes the listener on a journey through a mysterious night which starts with the first song "Sunset" and ends with "Waiting For The Sun." Camiel blends high tech jazz, funky guitar grooves, fusion of breakbeats and piano virtuosity, laid back bossa-lounge, groovin' disco house, mid-seventies soul beats, new-millennium R'n B, sensual samba, tropical island trance and a feel good hasta luego swing. Camiel has been showcased on the some of today's best-selling compilations, including Ibiza Magic (Cafe Del Mar), The Jazz Lounge Series and Ultimate Chill Out (Water Music) having sold a combined total of over 100,000 units.
