TRUSTcompany
A whole crop of melodic alt-metal bands sprung up during the early twenty-first century, including the Montgomery, Alabama, USA-based quartet, TRUSTcompany. Formed during the mid-90s by singer/guitarist Kevin Palmer and drummer Jason Singleton, the band was originally called 41 Down. With the addition of bass player Josh Moates, they performed as a trio for a spell, during which time they built up a sizeable regional following. The line-up was completed when second guitarist James Fukai was recruited during early 2000 (by which time their name was already TRUSTcompany). The band had already issued a pair of self-released recordings by this point, which led to a recording contract with Geffen Records shortly afterwards. Before their major label debut was even on the record store shelves, TRUSTcompany toured with artists such as Puddle Of Mudd, Adema, and Korn, which set the stage perfectly for the release of The Lonely Position Of Neutral in 2002. The album, which featured a number of tracks already well known to the band's loyal fans, received positive reviews and was a steady seller. A lengthy recording process for their second album saw the recruitment of new bass player Walker Warren to replace Moates. True Parallels was eventually released in spring 2005.
