Brother Cane
Initially comprising Damon Johnson (b. 13 July 1964, Macon, Georgia, USA; vocals/guitar), Roman Glick (guitar), Glenn Maxey (bass) and Scott Collier (drums), Brother Cane formed in Alabama, USA, in the early 90s. Originally, however, Johnson was the band's sole guitarist - making Virgin Records' decision to sign the singer-less band a bold move. After numerous auditions failed to yield a suitable recruit, Johnson was persuaded to take over the mantle of vocalist. He did an admirable job on the band's self-titled 1993 debut, which eventually sold more than a quarter of a million copies in the USA, as the band toured as support to Aerosmith and Robert Plant.
