b. 16 February 1978, Los Angeles, California, USA. Soul/R&B singer Sam Salter made his debut in 1997 with an album of unapologetic romantic ballads. Having graduated from the California gospel-singing circuit, he formed a youthful R&B group in Los Angeles that never recorded. Afterwards he elected to begin a solo career, hooking up with production team Christopher Stewart and San "Sep" Hall (veterans of work with Brownstone, the Braxtons and Aaron Hall). Other celebrities involved on his debut collection were Tony Rich, Laney Stewart and the production team Red Zone Entertainment. The first single to be released from the album was "After 12 Before 6", a typically smooth, Luther Vandross-styled paean to love.
