Lostprophets
Beginning with their very first recording, the 1997 EP HERE COMES THE PARTY, the Welsh ensemble Lostprophets ushered in a new era of hard rock in the U.K. Inspired by 1990s alternative rock, new wave, and hip-hop as much as they were by metal and hardcore punk, Lostprophets brought a sense of anthemic grandiosity and cocky charm to their version of loud, heavy rock music. On 2006's LIBERATION TRANSMISSION, the band members further indulged their love of more traditional pop sounds, resulting in the most accessible and commercially successful album of their career.
