Motograter
Formed in 1995 by the self-styled Grater (b. Bruce Butler; keyboards), this eccentric American band evolved from rudimentary hardcore to nu metal hopefuls during the early years of its career. The line-up gradually expanded to include Zak Ward (vocals/electronics), Crispy (b. Christopher Binns; drums), Smur (b. Joey Krzywonski; percussion) and Eric Gonzales (electronics), with the band using samples and their homemade "motograter" device to make up for the lack of conventional rock instruments in their set-up.
