Siobhan Donaghy
b. 14 June 1984, London, England. UK vocalist Donaghy entered the music scene as a member of teenage pop trio Sugababes. She had barely turned 16 when the group's debut One Touch was released, but despite spawning the classic single "Overload' and receiving positive reviews the album was a commercial failure. Donaghy left the Sugababes in September 2001 after falling out with the other members. She retained her contract with London Records and worked with Sugababes" producer Cameron McVey on solo material. She made her solo debut in March 2003 with the vinyl-only single "Nothing But Song". The more widely distributed "Overrated" followed in June, but despite reaching the UK Top 20 the attendant Revolution In Me failed to sell. The album's acoustic styling was markedly different from the urban pop sound pursued by the Sugababes, and while not completely successful did prompt a number of positive reviews.
