finetune artist: Evanescence

Coming from the heartland of America (Little Rock, AR), Evanescence mixes the heavy guitar crunch of nu-metal with the moody atmosphere and electronic flavoring of goth rock. Singer/keyboardist Amy Lee also bears the influence of singer/songwriters like Tori Amos and Alanis Morissette. The band built up a following with a couple of independent releases before their first widely distributed album, 2003's FALLEN, made them a coast-to-coast smash

@ilikepie123: The name 'Evanescence' actually means a vanishing mist or vapor, so I'm guessing that they weren't named after the guitarist. Also, to those asking this band to "add them", this is a site for music, not myspace. Bands can't and won't add you to their friend lists because they don't have friend lists. PS: Evanescence rules!
