Isyss
This urban vocal quartet is forged from the same musical mould as En Vogue, TLC, and Destiny's Child. The group (whose name is an abbreviation for Intelligent Sexy Young Soul Sisters) was formed by Quierra Davis-Martin, LeTiecia Harrison, La'Myia Good and Ardena Clark, all of whom were still in their teens at the time of their debut album's 2002 release. Originally formed during the late 90s and originating from Los Angeles, California, USA, Isyss achieved an early breakthrough when manager Billy Moss took them under his wing. The quartet honed their act over the next few years, before signing a recording contract with Arista Records. Isyss' debut, The Way We Do It, boasted production credits by Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, Tyrice Jones (Ruff Ryders), and even Moss himself, among others. The album's lead-off single, "Day And Night", featured rapper Jadakiss, and received plenty of airplay on US radio immediately upon its release.
