Joe Bonamassa
b. 8 May 1977, Utica, New York, USA. Although blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa was only in his mid-twenties by the start of the new millennium, he was already a music veteran, having played with rock band Bloodline during the 90s, before launching a solo career. He first picked up the guitar at the age of four, and by his teens, was playing alongside adult musicians (even opening for and making an admirer out of blues great B.B. King). Bonamassa later helped form Bloodline that comprised largely of renowned musicians' offspring. Guitarist Waylon Krieger (son of Doors' Robbie Krieger), drummer Erin Davis (son of Miles Davis), and bass player Berry Oakley Jnr. (son of the Allman Brothers Band's Raymond Berry Oakley) Despite high hopes, the band only lasted for a few years before splitting up.
