Course Of Nature
This US alternative rock band was formed by Mark Wilkerson (vocals, guitar), John "Fish" Milldrum (guitar, bass), and Rickey Shelton (drums) in the southern US town of Enterprise, Alabama. The trio's roots lay in an earlier band, Cog, which originally brought together Wilkerson and Milldrum. At first, Cog was strictly a covers band, playing throughout Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. They eventually began penning original tunes, leading to a self-released album in 2001, No Time At All. Wilkerson and Milldrum opted to leave Cog behind and set out on their own, enlisting drummer Shelton and adopting the name Course Of Nature. It was not long before the newly named outfit drew the interest of Atlantic Records, who signed the band and issued their debut, Superkala, in early 2002. The album included the band's radio hit "Caught In The Sun".
