Glenn Lewis
b. 13 March 1975, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This Stevie Wonder-influenced neo-soul artist was raised in a musical family, with his father the former lead singer of Crack Of Dawn. Raised in Toronto, by his late teens Lewis had become a respected performer on the city's club scene. His demo recordings came to the attention of Beat Factory, who released his debut "The Thing To Do" in 1998. The single won a Canadian Juno Award for Best R&B Recording. After a spell as a programmer with producer Rodney Jerkins, Lewis signed a new recording contract with Epic Records. He recorded his debut album with songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Andre Harris and Vidal Davis. The smooth R&B of World Outside My Window proved especially popular in the USA, owing in part to the success of lead-off single, "Don't You Forget It".
