Oysterhead
Formed in 2000 by Trey Anastasio (b. Ernest Joseph Anastasio III, 30 September 1964, Fort Worth, Texas, USA; guitar), Stewart Copeland (b. 16 July 1952, Alexandria, Virginia, USA; drums), and Les Claypool (b. Leslie Edward Claypool, 29 September 1963, Richmond, California, USA; bass), the members of this US rock supergroup came from disparate musical backgrounds, ranging from Anastasio's work with the popular jam band Phish, through Claypool's involvement with funk metal monsters Primus, to Copeland's background in both pop (the Police) and jazz rock (Curved Air and Animal Logic).
