Lil' Romeo
b. Percy Miller Jnr., 19 August 1989, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The son of leading rap entrepreneur Master P, Lil' Romeo enjoyed a hit single at the tender age of 11 when "My Baby' reached the US Top 5. The young Miller was barely five when his father's No Limit Records organisation established itself as the latest independent sensation, and by the end of the 90s the label's roster of artists, including Lil" Romeo's uncles C-Murder and Silkk The Shocker, were reaching the top of the national charts. Miller Jnr. performed several raps on his father's records, but spurred on by the success of Lil Bow Wow was got the chance to make his own album. The catchy "My Baby", which utilised a sample of the Jackson Five's "I Want You Back' to great effect, topped the rap charts and broke onto national radio during summer 2001. His hugely successful self-titled debut album followed in July. During the same year the young rapper made his big screen debut with a cameo appearance in Max Keeble's Big Move. The following year's GameTime repeated the clean-talking, fresh-faced formula developed by Lil" Romeo and his team on his debut album. Further acting gigs followed in television and film, most notably the rapper's own Nickelodeon show Romeo! His third album, Romeoland, was buoyed by the success of the hit single "My Cinderella".
