Joan Jett started out as a member of the teenage, all-girl hard rock band the Runaways in the mid-1970s. By the early '80s she emerged as a solo artist, leading her own band, the Blackhearts. Her mix of glam, hard rock, pop hooks, and punky attitude made her a star. She scored a number of hits throughout the '80s with both original tunes ("Bad Reputation," "I Love Rock N' Roll") and covers ("Crimson and Clover"). In 1987, Jett starred alongside Michael J. Fox and Gena Rowlands in the well-regarded rock movie LIGHT OF DAY. Though the hit machine started slowing down in the '90s, Jett never abandoned her commitment to no-frills, good-time rock & roll.

I remember Joan Jett when was in high school I Love Rock N Roll I loved it than and now as a adult still do has a great beat to lissen too.
