Layo And Bushwacka! is the recording partnership of two London, UK-based DJ/producers. Layo Paskin, who owes his unusual name to Russian grandparents, is an experienced studio technician and DJ and is co-owner with Mr C (ex-the Shamen) of London club, The End and its record label, End Recordings. Matthew Benjamin (b. Glasgow, Scotland) adopted the nickname Bushwacka! in deference to his fondness for marijuana or "bush". He is also an engineer at Mr C's studio and has worked with respected figures in the dance music scene such as Derrick Carter, Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes, DJ Sneak and Alex Reece. Like Paskin, he is an accomplished club DJ, having played at clubs in Europe and the USA. He has also had Djing residencies at The End, the Ministry Of Sound and at Ku, Pacha and Space in Ibiza and ran his own influential record label, Plank Records.
