Claussell is a highly respected figure on the soulful house scene, owing to his work as a record shop owner, DJ, producer, artist and the owner of two labels, Ibadan and Spiritual Life Music. He is also known for the famous and hugely influential Sunday afternoon and evening club, Body & Soul, that he ran with his friends and fellow veterans of the New York club scene, Fran‡ois Kevorkian and Danny Krivit.
