b. Mitar Subotic, 23 June 1961, Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, d. 2 November 1999, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Suba was part of a new generation of Brazil-based artists who re-appropriated electronics sounds and beats and blended them with elements from all styles of Brazilian music. The musician, composer, producer studied jazz and classical composition, graduating in composition and orchestration from the University of Novi Sad in his native Yugoslavia. He specialized in electro-acoustic music at the Radio Belgrade Electronic Studio, and wrote music for theatre, ballet, and film in addition to recording Disillusioned under the Rex Illusivi moniker.
