Influenced initially by the song craftsmanship of bands like the Beatles, Martin Carr truly came into his own in the 1990s with the explosion of the British "shoegazing" movement. Using the adrenalized sonic rush of feedback for his own ends, Carr soon led the Boos into the wide-open planes of experimentation tempered by cunning pop songcraft.
