Swayzak
Swayzak, whose moniker is allegedly a corruption of the name of the US actor Patrick Swayze, is a critically acclaimed dance music production duo based in London, England. It comprises James Taylor (b. 26 September 1967, London, England) and David Brown (b. 29 July 1966, Glasgow, Scotland), both accomplished studio technicians who wear their love of all forms of electronic music on their collective sleeve. Their polished productions encompass styles ranging through funk, electro, techno, house and dub and might be crudely described as electronica. More accurately, Swayzak's sound achieves the sometimes elusive fusion of soul with electronic instrumentation.
