Jamey Pacheco (drums), Robert Reid (bass), Ron Freschi (guitar), Danny De La Rosa (guitar) and Derek (vocals) formed this hard rock group in San Francisco, California, USA, in 1987. Originally known as the Persuaders, the group signed a major label contract with Arista Records, on whose advice the band name was changed. Their debut album was a promising collection of cultured, well-produced rock, rendered with melody and purpose. It brought them significant early acclaim in a career that subsequently failed to build on the initial good impressions.
