Madball
Freddy Cricien (b. Florida, USA), brother of Agnostic Front's Roger Miret, was inevitably influenced by his imposing sibling, and his own band Madball operated in a similar all-out hardcore vein. Cricien had made his debut at an Agnostic Front show at the age of seven, when visiting his New York-based brother, climbing on stage to offer a rendition of the Animals' It's My Life'. Eventually, he moved to the US capital, spending much time at the city's home for hardcore, CBGB's. It was Vinnie Stigma of Agnostic Front who gave him his nickname, "Madball", after provoking the young Cricien to the point where his face resembled such an object.
