Jon & Robin & The In Crowd
A husband and wife team from Dallas, Texas, USA, Jon and Robin (Abnor) were known for their 1967 Top 20 single, "Do It Again A Little Bit Slower". The song, written by Wayne Carson Thompson, was considered slightly risqu for its time, and, released on the duo's own Abnak Records (which had earlier released the Five Americans' "Western Union" hit), made a minor splash. The single was produced by Dale Hawkins, the rockabilly artist whose own "Suzie-Q" is considered a classic. Collectors, meanwhile, seek the pair's hit because it was pressed on yellow vinyl. Jon And Robin made the singles chart two more times, but never came close to repeating their initial success. Robin then left the act, and Jon continued both with the In-Crowd and as a solo act under several names. Robin also went solo briefly, with no success.
