finetune artist: Alice Deejay

A fluctuating Dutch-based project involving prominent DJ/producers Pronti And Kalmani, Johan Gielen, Danski And Delmundo and vocalist Judy (b. 8 December 1975, Amsterdam, Netherlands). Judy was discovered while playing at a party, as she danced to the last tune of her set. The Alice Deejay venture was formed, and rose to prominence in 1999, as an integral part of the year that trance took an even firmer foothold on the European singles charts. The record that achieved this breakthrough was the catchy "Better Off Alone", released in some territories under the moniker DJ Jurgen Featuring Alice Deejay. After this it was decided to shorten the name for the second single "Back In My Life", an equally catchy Top 5 hit across Europe with its pop/trance sensibilities. In a similar style was "Will I Ever", then "The Lonely One", as Judy built a considerable European fanbase. "Celebrate Our Love", the outfit's fifth chart success, introduced a gospel flavour rather akin to Dario G. Who Needs Guitars Anyway? contains all of these hits, and promotes Judy's talents as DJ and vocalist. She continues to perform in both of these capacities and remains the face of this accessible trance venture.
