Glad
Formed in Sacramento, California, USA, in 1970, Glad consisted of Tom Phillips (guitar/vocals), Ron Flogel (guitar/vocals), Timothy B. Schmit (bass/vocals) and George Hullin (drums/vocals). All of the group, bar Hullin, were originally members of Tim, Tom And Ron. Upon the drummer's arrival they became the Contenders, before adopting a new name, the New Breed, in 1965. As the New Breed they recorded a series of excellent punk/garage singles, notably "Want Ad Reader". The quartet was later known as Never Mind, and changed their name again to Glad when they secured a contract with ABC Records. The ensuing album is a fine showcase for tight, four-part harmonies and country-influenced rock. Schmit left to join Poco just prior to the album's release. He was replaced by Andy Samuel and the new line-up established themselves as Redwing.

I agree with the previous comments. This biography is for another group, not the Christian group called Glad. Prior to The Acappella Project, they made several albums in a "progressive rock" style. -

The information provided for Glad does not match the group featured in the discography. The Glad of the discography is a Christian Contemporary group--mostly accapella. -
