Arcadium
Miguel Sergides (vocals, guitar), Robert Ellwood (vocals, guitar), Alan Ellwood (keyboards, vocals), Graham Best (bass, vocals) and John Albert Parker (drums) formed this short-lived, but inventive, group, active in 1969. Arcadium (Breathe Awhile), released on Middle Earth Records, captured their highly original style, particularly on "I'm On My Way", the impressive opening track, which features inspired, emotional guitarwork. The remainder of the set, all of which was composed by Sergides, combines introspective lyrics with densely packed arrangements, resulting in a sense of tense claustrophobia. Despite undoubted promise, Arcadium split soon after the album's release.
