Masters At Work
Formed by house producers Little Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez (b. 7 June 1970). The duo marked the inception of their partnership by releasing "Ride On The Rhythm" in 1991. On the back of that and their well established personal reputations (appearances as extras in Spaghetti Westerns notwithstanding), they subsequently undertook a vast array of remix projects. These began with Saint Etienne ("Only Love Can Break Your Heart"), Debbie Gibson, Melissa Morgan, BG The Prince Of Rap ("Take Control Of The Party"), Deee-Lite ("Bittersweet Loving"), plus legendary Latin musician Tito Puente's "Ran Kan Kan". In turn Puente contributed three times to Vega's 1991 album with singer Marc Anthony. They also recorded, in their own right, material like "Can't Stop The Rhythm" (with Jocelyn Brown) for US label Cutting Records. They also released a highly popular album, following which they were inundated with remix work for major label artists including Michael Jackson, Brand New Heavies, Donna Summer, Madonna, George Benson, Lisa Stansfield, and Soul II Soul.
