Dead Moon
The Pacific Northwest trio Dead Moon have been making gritty, spirited, heart-on-the-sleeve rock records since 1987. Composed of '60s garage rock refugee Fred Cole (of the Lollipop Shop), his wife Toody, and drummer Andrew Loomis, Dead Moon recorded and released all their music themselves, and toured relentlessly. Their commitment to D.I.Y. ethics and honest rock & roll built them a healthy cult following. Dead Moon toured and recorded into the 21st century, but sadly and to the dismay of many, called it quits in 2006. A two-disc retrospective of the band entitled ECHOES OF THE PAST and the documentary UNKNOWN PASSAGE were both released around the same time as the band's dissolution. In 2007 Fred and Toody formed the Pierced Arrows, keeping Dead Moon's spirit alive and well.
