Muse
Equally influenced by the artier rock of the 1990s (Radiohead, Jeff Buckley) and the '70s (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd), Muse emerged as one of the more grandiose progenitors of latter-day Britpop. Their 1999 debut album SHOWBIZ, produced by John Leckie (who worked with both Floyd and Radiohead), made them stars, and subsequent releases proved the British trio's staying power.

idc about what any of u say it is great music but if you may or may not like it someone else might like it and appreciate it for different reasons, and i happen to be someone who does -

I totally agree. Their best albums had been their first ones. The emotional expression in their songs gets decreases continually.. I think one could notice that even already in the Absolution album. I hand been to two of their concerts.. Absolution and Black Holes. The difference was realy dissapointing. While one Absolution gig there had been the realy fans, on the Black hole concert had only been dumb radio listeners. -

I don't really like their new songs like Starlight or Supermassive Black Hole (even though I added Supermassive Black Hole to one of my playlists) -

...Starlight...a song that killed Muse...repetitive piano ostinato and simpl guitars...the bass only consisted of a single note sequence *yawn*... -

you know...I think I have to join you on that....I loved the textured complexity and the wagnerian borrowings. You do know stuff, don't you?? Go on with your super bad self! :) I guess because I am here in the States, the reception is a little different. I am assuming that you are in England...? -

...I'm not wrong...commercialism killed this album...you might as well listen to Coldplay...as on this album their sound is rather similar... -

I'm going to be honest here...Black Holes and revelations was one of the most diappointing albums ever...but Origin of Symetry is a god like album and forever will be. Go back to your old ways Matt Bellamy and co. PLEASE!! -

Beautiful grandiose epic over the top arrangments and brilliant apocalyptic lyrics. Smart, intelligent, challenging, unexpected and always excellent. One of the best bands of our time! They rock harder thank anyone else! -

I think that the greatest album ever is Absolution of this Band. I love them, their music are just perfect. A perfect combination of lyrics and music. -

MUSE is everything that music should be. The music and lyrics move me emotionally. You haven't lived until you've seen MUSE live. Easily, the best live performace I have ever seen. Matt Bellamy (vocals, guitar, keyboard) is supported by one if the best drummers (Dom) I have ever laid eyes on, and a totally amazing bassist (Chris). Although, it is hard to take your eyes off of Matt during a live performance as he is either mezmorizing you with his outstanding vocals, whailing on the keyboards, or melting your heart (and inhabitions...apparently)with the sensual nature of his guitar playing. You won't be sorry for seeing this band live...GO...DO IT...NOW! -

a very good band, with great songs in every album. they play something between nirvana and radiohead, in my opinion. they are unique to their sound, in a strange way. if you like the new sounds, you should listen them. youu will love them, as a did!!
