Jon Randall
b. 17 February 1969, Duncanville, Dallas, Texas, USA. Randall's influences included Elvis Presley and ZZ Top as well as old and new bluegrass artists. During his high school days, he toured surrounding states as part of bluegrass combo Southern Heritage. After completing his studies, he moved to Nashville in an attempt to make an impact in the country music industry. By day holding down jobs that included courier and process server for a law firm, he also found time to continue playing the guitar and sing. He passed his first audition for Holly Dunn's band, playing the Grand Ole Opry on its 20th anniversary celebrations, before touring Alaska and Japan. This was followed by occasional gigs with Vince Gill and Steve Wariner, before Carl Jackson introduced him as a new member of Emmylou Harris' Nash Ramblers.
