Randy Vanwarmer
b. Randall VanWormer, 30 March 1955, Indian Hills, Colorado, USA, d. 12 January 2004, Seattle, Washington, USA. VanWarmer is best remembered for his 1979 US Top 5/UK Top 10 single "Just When I Needed You Most". VanWarmer and his mother moved to Looe, Cornwall, England when Randy was 12, following the death of his father in an automobile accident. He began singing and making demo tapes and in 1979 moved back to the USA, settling in Woodstock, New York. He signed with Bearsville Records, based in Woodstock, and recorded his own composition, "Just When I Needed You Most", that same year. The easy-listening hit was followed by two more minor chart singles and a low-charting album, Warmer, also in 1979.
