Reel Big Fish
One of the most lighthearted bands of the mid-1990s third-wave ska invasion, the Southern California act Reel Big Fish first garnered attention with its cheeky alt-rock-radio hit "Sell Out." RBF is also renowned for its horn-laden cover tunes, most notably its revved-up versions of A-Ha's "Take on Me" and the Cure's "Boys Don't Cry." While the group's personnel has fluctuated wildly over the years, with only singer/guitarist Aaron Barrett remaining from the original line-up, its fanbase has stayed fairly loyal, anticipating each of the ensemble's punchy ska-punk outings.
