L.A. Guns
Legendary veterans of the Sunset Strip glam metal scene, L.A. Guns' place in rock history is forever solidified for being one of the two bands (Hollywood Rose was the other) that merged to become Guns N' Roses. Founding member Tracii Guns left an early incarnation of G N' R to reform L.A. Guns in 1985. Though the band never touched its more famous off-shoot in terms of commercial success, the gloriously hard-rockin' sleaze merchants scored several hits through the years, including the 1989 hair metal classic "The Ballad of Jayne." A truly Byzantine series of break-ups and re-formations took place throughout the '90s and 2000s, resulting in two different line-ups of L.A. Guns touring as of 2007--surprisingly, though, to a large and loyal fanbase.

L.A.Guns ROCKS!!! I had the great pleasure of seeing them a couple of summers ago at Razor Fest in Little Rock, AR....with a few other groups from the 80s, such as Firehouse (the lead singer was a real dick towards my pregnant daughter) and Slaughter. But I have always been a huge fan of L.A.Guns and I want them to play "The Ballad of Jayne" at my funeral...I want to go out ROCKIN! -

Phil Lewis is one of the coolest people I've ever met. He even let me babysit his beautiful daughter Trinity, whom he called Chicken. Go fig!
