finetune artist: Keiko Matsui

b. Tokyo, Japan. Multi-faceted smooth jazz artist, Matsui released her eighth album, Dream Walk, in 1997, by which time she had established a strong following, despite limited commercial success. After its release she toured the USA in support of the YME organization, set up to promote breast cancer awareness and provide support and information for breast cancer victims and their families. As Matsui told the press: "As a woman and the mother of two daughters, I became alarmed by the statistics and wanted to do what I could." A four-song CD, Gift Of Hope, was also issued to raise funds, featuring one song from Dream Walk, one from her earlier album A Drop Of Water and two versions of her song "Hope".
