Jim Croce
Jim Croce was an incredibly gifted master of the folk "storyteller" style whose life and career were cut short by a 1973 plane crash, Jim Croce made finely crafted music that continues to appeal to a wide variety of audiences. Croce combined sharp wit, an appealing Pennsylvania "aw shucks" rootsiness, and deceptively masterful pop songwriting, he remains highly influential to a generation of singer/songwriters, and several of his compositions have become standards of the genre.
