Jennifer Love Hewitt
b. 21 February 1979, Waco, Texas, USA. Best known as a movie and television actress with pin-up good looks, Jennifer Love Hewitt has also issued several albums as a pop singer. She began her showbusiness career at the age of three, when she sang at a livestock show, following it up shortly thereafter with a series of ballet, jazz, and tap dancing lessons. After performing with the Texas Show Team (a dance troupe that toured in Europe), Hewitt and her mother relocated to Los Angeles to more thoroughly pursue an entertainment career. From 1989 through 1991, Hewitt played Robin in the popular Disney children's show, Kids Incorporated, before landing a role on another television show, Party Of Five, which successfully launched her career (in between she had appeared in several flop shows and recorded a pop album for the Japanese market). Two best-forgotten dance-pop albums followed in quick succession during the mid-90s (1995's Let's Go Bang and 1996's self-titled effort), and she appeared on the soundtrack to House Arrest, in which she also starred. A role in the following year's hit movie I Know What You Did Last Summer catapulted Hewitt's career into the stratosphere. Hewitt opted to concentrate solely on acting over the next few years, before returning to music in 2002. Noticing that Pink had recently scored a massive hit album (M!ssundaztood) by working with a forgotten one-hit wonder of the 90s (4 Non Blondes' Linda Perry), Hewitt hooked up with Meredith Brooks (known for her lone 1997 hit single, "Bitch"). The resulting album, BareNaked, showed that Hewitt was attempting to reinvent herself as a more serious musical artist.
