Jeff Buckley
Though Jeff Buckley was adamant about not being compared to his father Tim, his voice and free-floating, improvisatory folk/rock/jazz style bore inescapable echoes of genetic heritage. The Michael Jordan of singers, he had a voice that could soar or sting at will, and his untimely drowning in 1997 squelched one of the most promising careers of the decade.

Finally bought this album and was silenced by it liquidity, flexibility and sincerity. Every track is damned awesome. What a voice. the musical composition is timeless, original and insists upon you. 10 out of 10. Just wish he had lived. -

His words were inspiring, his voice sent chills down your spine, and his guitar work was among the best in the business. He was a bold, beautiful and colorful artist whose death took much away from the world of music. As already said, although I still get to enjoy his music, I miss not being able to enjoy the rest of what his brilliant mind had to share. R.I.P., Jeff. -

The most hauntingly beautiful voice....like an angel. Maybe that is why he didn't stay on this earth longer. I miss all the songs he never sang.
