Cliff Eberhardt
b. Berwyn, Pennsylvania, USA. Although he is often associated with the folk scene, singer-songwriter Eberhardt's music contains strong traces of blues, soul, and rock. He performed around the east coast in an acoustic duo with his brother Geoff when he was just 15, until he moved to Illinois at the age of 21. Moving to New York City in 1978, Eberhardt launched himself into the city's singer-songwriter scene, becoming a regular on New York's folk club circuit. By the 80s, he was touring regularly, and Eberhardt finally released his debut, the aptly titled The Long Road, in 1990 on the Windham Hill Records label. The album featured a duet with Richie Havens, with whom Eberhardt had previously toured.
