Bryan Lee
b. 16 March 1943, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, USA. Based in New Orleans since the early 80s, Lee plays guitar and sings. He became blind at the age of eight but persisted with music and in his teens he played guitar in a Wisconsin band named the Glaciers. During the 60s he began gradually to turn to the blues and in the 70s became known on the blues circuit. In the early 80s he relocated to New Orleans, where he subsequently maintained a busy schedule with his Jump Street Five. Among his engagements was a five-nights a week booking at the Old Absinthe House, a club popular with tourists. Even so, it was not until the start of the 90s that he made his first album for Justin Time Records. He has remained with the label into the new millennium.
