Arcadia
Arcadia was formed as a second offshoot from UK pop band Duran Duran in 1985 (the first being Power Station with Andy and John Taylor) by Simon Le Bon (b. 27 October 1958, Bushey, Hertfordshire, England; vocals), Nick Rhodes (b. Nicholas James Bates, 8 June 1962, Moseley, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; keyboards) and Roger Taylor (b. 26 April 1960, Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire, England; drums). Their catchy up-tempo style gained them instant success with the single "Election Day", which became their only Top 10 single in both the UK and the USA. It featured a narration by Grace Jones, and was taken from their only album, So Red The Rose, which reached the Top 30 on both sides of the Atlantic. Shortly afterwards Duran Duran re-formed without Andy Taylor.
