Linda Ronstadt
Linda Ronstadt began as the clear-voiced, country-influenced singer for '60s folk-rockers the Stone Poneys, where she covered tunes by the likes of Mike Nesmith and Tim Buckley. That knack for choosing material served her well in the second half of the '70s, when she became a pop superstar interpreting songs by everyone from Dave Edmunds and Elvis Costello to Chuck Berry and Roy Orbison. Subsequently, she showed her diversity by cutting albums of jazz standards, traditional Mexican music, and pure country

The first song I ever heard you sing was Silver Threads and Golden Needles. I was 13 years old, it was 1973. I fell in love with your voice and it has been a part of my life's sound track ever since. I think I have almost all of your albums!! Thanks for sharing your gift

When my son was a baby, the only lullabies he wanted to hear were me singing along with Linda. All three of my children learned to love you and your wonderful songs. You helped me to make those sweet memories with my children. Steph, remember singing Heat Wave - - we laughed so hard we nearly fell out of the car! We Love You Linda!
