3 Colours Red
Formed in London, England, in 1994, uninhibited hard rock band 3 Colours Red earned immediate comparisons to the Wildhearts, whom they duly supported through 1995. Comprising Pete Vuckovic (b. 16 February 1971, Tiverton, Devon, England; vocals/bass), Chris McCormack (b. 21 June 1973, South Shields, England; guitar, and brother of Danny McCormack of the Wildhearts), Ben Harding (b. 31 January 1965, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England; guitar, ex-Senseless Things) and Keith Baxter (b. 19 February 1971, Lancaster, Lancashire, England, d. 4 January 2008, England; drums, ex-Skyclad), their early stage show combined the earnest ferocity of the best garage rock with memorable pop hooklines. Despite this, the band was not quite as fresh to the rock scene as many had assumed - Vuckovic was formerly a member of the groundbreaking Diamond Head in their later period, while Harding and Baxter had worked with Senseles Things and Skyclad respectively.
