LIGHTS
Active since the late 90s, this US indie rock band is based in their native Seattle, Washington. Formed by Craig Chambers (vocals/guitar), Jeff Albertson (bass/vocals), and PJ Rogalski (drums), from the ashes of the noise rock band the Left Coast, the trio did not make its recording debut until 2003 when they released a self-titled EP. The full-length follow-up Beautiful Bird included all four tracks from the EP and reprised its lo-fi post-punk style, which also owed more than a passing debt to the angular indie rock of the influential Pavement. Two limited edition releases, the EP Wood And Wire and the 7-inch single "Suge Knight Sweetheart', preceded 2006"s Diamonds And Dirt. A riot of abrasive guitars and raw vocals, the album steered closer to the band?s garage rock and punk influences than its predecessor.
