Ashes Divide
Formed in 2007 following the break-up of his former band A Perfect Circle, this US alternative rock act (whose name is normally written ASHES dIVIDE) is predominantly a solo project for multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Billy Howerdel (b. 18 May 1969, New Jersey, USA). After signing a contract with Island Records for a new album, Howerdel was joined at the recording sessions by A Perfect Circle bandmates Josh Freese (drums) and Paz Lenchantin (bass) and the son of another former colleague Maynard James Keenan, cellist Devo Keenan, alongside Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde and Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio. A powerful collection of melodic alternative rock, Keep Telling Myself It's Alright saw Howerdel emerging from the creative shadows of his former band with some aplomb.
