City and Colour
A spin-off project from post-hardcore band Alexisonfire formed by that unit's co-frontman Dallas Green (b. 29 September 1980, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada). The title City And Colour was an interpretation of his own name Dallas (City) and Green (Colour). Green had been writing songs since the age of 14 before joining Alexisonfire at the age of 21. Possessing a sweet breathy voice resembling the Zombies' Colin Blunstone, it could be argued that Green's vocal talent overshadows Alexisonfire as it is a voice that would not normally be associated with the band's hardcore image.
